Our Show

Into our show we embrace a variety of different genres and musical styles, along with some humor, as well as incorporating our own written originals very soon. We play mainly country music, but also we play bluegrass, rock, and some popular songs. We wouldn't call our show slow-paced, though sometimes we do slower songs, but mostly a fast-paced show for those out there who like to boogie! Our goal is to have people entertained by keeping them guessing about what we are going to do next. For more information--

Who We Are/Our Story

Just over twenty years ago, while working as a waitress in a popular Belleville, Ontario restaurant, I met a young man by the name of Ken Seaboyer. This handsome fellow ate a lot of pizzas, drank a lot of coffee and asked a lot of questions. When he found out that I not only liked music, but also played and sang, for him the deal was sealed!

For our first date, he invited me to the Havelock Country Jamboree to hear him play. Although I couldn't make it for the stage performance, in the wee hours of the night, around a blazing campfire, I first heard him play. For me, the deal was sealed!

In the subsequent years, I followed "the band" around. They were local favorites, "The Gerry Seaboyer Band," founded and led by a very talented fiddle player (Ken's father), the late Gerry Seaboyer.

Times and seasons changed and music shifted into the background of family life and other interests, but it has always remained in our hearts. We have two children

now: Kenneth and Ashley, that showed early on that they were budding musicians, vocalists, and writers. We believed the season had come for us to move these talents from "around the wood stove" onto the stage once again.

--We added our cousin, Kevin Hornsby from Gerry's original band and our amazing friend Glenn Smith (who has been adopted as family!), hence our name "Seaboyer Band" is indeed authentic.

They add their own touches, but respect the musical canon... and there is a special charm in an old-school family band.

The Next Generation Seaboyer Band proved to everyone that music flows eternally through the veins of families fortunate enough to have been blessed with this talent...  One judge commented that their original song was one of the best they had heard in the competition.
